Changelog v.0.5.1.5 Alpha




Greetings!

New Gloria Victis update has been launched! Besides of numerous fixes to the gameplay balance and performance of servers, it also introduces a new mode – “Valley of Death”. It is a PVP tournament that allows the teams of Midlanders and Ismirs to participate in the regular group fights. In the nearest future this mode will be expanded with fights over the flags, however we are open for your ideas!

Warning:
In order to fix the issues with servers performance and disappearing items, we had to remove the corrupted items – we decided to do it instead of performing another wipe.

Changelog v.0.5.1.5

Gameplay:

– Implemented new mode “Valley of Death” – a regular PVP tournament between the teams of Midlanders and Ismirs which takes place regularly in a special location; for test purpose it starts every hour
– Decreased differences of dealt damage dealt resulting from the equipped armour
– Rebalanced HP of the NPC guards
– Increased levels of the Young Outlumbereds
– Increased amount of NPC guards required to kill in order to capture a flag up to 75%
– Included NPC civilians into the amount of guards required to kill in order to capture a flag

Fixes:

– Fixed many issues causing the instability of servers when players were crafting
– Improved communication between the servers and database
– Fixed issue causing that numerous recipes for the chain and plate gauntlets didn’t allow to select replacements of the padded gauntlets

    just want to say this I played Mortal Online for 5 yrs and never saw them respond to make fix's and fast as you guys have keep up the good work.

    Great work, this is a promising game, and with this dev support has such a high ceiling. Just know you have support so don't lose faith!

    Nice, already noticed a big jump in the stability and performance of the game and this is coming from someone who locks up every 10 seconds for 5 seconds. I still get the 5 second lock ups, which usually will occur randomly now every 1-2 mins, which is a big improvement from before this patch (regardless of graphics settings). I still will likely lock up when I open inventory,open the map, or try to loot, but again still leaps and bounds from what I was experiencing before.

    Keep up the great work. One day I'll be able to run GV without lagging up once more. :)

    Have some serious concerns about the Valley of Death and such other arena battle modes.
    In other games these have seriously impacted the open world PVP which is largely what GV is about....

    I would consider NOT including any instanced arenas as a game element, as they might hinder the rest of your open world.

    I totally agree. Just like vanilla WoW, pre battle grounds, people actually fought in the open world for resource nodes, honor points, and just to kill the other faction. After the battler grounds launched, pfft..hardly anyone ran around open world anymore. I thought the whole purpose of GV was to not have instanced things, keep everything in an open and seamless world?

    With the above being said, if the Valley of Death arena mode remains a once per every hour queue or even 2-3 hours, it would leave a wide gap for open world pvp to still happen; still maintaining the fear and fun in the open world pvp aspect anyway. Something to consider, you don't want to have all instanced pvp, then there is no point.
